  • 2014-07-21

Fleur de Lys Newark minibus from 1990 is a reproduction of typical vehicles from the 1920s. Rare in minibus configuration. The charm of the old, combined with the ease of use of a modern vehicle: this is what the manufacturer Fleur de Lys wanted offer from 1984 with its Newark, which takes its name from that of the city where it was produced, in England. On the base a Ford Transit, this handcrafted van was an original and fun promotional instrument, standing out of an ordinary van. Evoking the shape of a Ford T, it had been designed by Len Terry, designer and motorsport enthusiast. Its Ford 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine develops 75 hp, which allows it to fit easily into modern traffic. The running gear and the brakes are also proven elements from Ford, the behavior of this vehicle is quite sure. The proposed model was fitted out as an eight-seater minibus, plus the driver. On the outside, the grille coated with brass surround, split fenders, wood wheel style aluminum spoked rims, small oval side window, decorative edging running on the paintwork, everything contributes to give this vehicle an offbeat look compared to the urban landscape usual. This is an ideal minibus for advertising use, a hotel shuttle, for welcoming visitors or for transport a small group. Newark minibuses are quite rare, most of which are used as vans. In addition, production ceased in 1992. This vehicle is available for hire for advertising purposes: see downloads
